Benefit and Service Navigation
There are many resources available for individuals with disabilities, including free or low-cost programs designed to provide support, guidance, and opportunities. However, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of options—or unsure where to start.
I help you navigate this complex landscape, identifying the programs and services that are the best fit for your needs and goals. I have hands-on experience working closely with government agencies, such as the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) in California, a government program designed to help people with disabilities prepare for, find, and maintain meaningful employment. While some clients have shared that it can take a few months to get into certain programs, I guide you through the process so you can plan ahead and stay on track. Together, we’ll figure out which resources you qualify for, which will help you most, and how to access them efficiently.
With guidance every step of the way, you can feel confident applying for programs and benefits that support your career, education, and independent living. My goal is to make this process clear, manageable, and tailored to your situation, so you can focus on using the support to achieve your goals rather than navigating it alone.
In a benefit and service navigation session, we might:
Review your current situation, goals, and needs to identify relevant programs.
Explore government-funded and low-cost services that could support your career, education, or daily life.
Determine which programs you qualify for and prioritize the ones that best align with your goals.
Guide you step-by-step through application processes, forms, and documentation.
Provide strategies for following up and tracking your applications.
Help you understand your rights, benefits, and available accommodations.
Connect you with additional resources or organizations that offer complementary support.
